The County Legislature on April 10 adopted a series of capital projects and corresponding bond resolutions, including a $4,577,000 bond resolution to continue Capital Project #461 for replacement of the county-owned Pumpkin Swamp Bridge in the Town of Goshen. Sponsors noted the $4.577 million estimate includes $3,577,000 previously authorized and a $1,000,000 additional appropriation approved at the meeting.
The Legislature also approved sewer district purchases for Orange County Sewer District No. 1: a replacement supervisors vehicle at a maximum estimated cost of $65,000 and an equipment acquisition package estimated at $215,000 to replace cooling systems, pumps, control panels, an isolation valve, push camera system and other components (line-item amounts were entered into the record). A separate bond authorized $215,000 to finance the equipment package. Separately, bond Resolution No. 102 authorized $500,000 for various drainage improvements, including $200,000 in State CHIPS funds expected to be received and $300,000 in county bonds. All measures passed without recorded opposition where votes were recorded.
