Residents press council about rezoning and water hookups amid Comprehensive Plan update

During public comment, a resident identified as Grant asked whether a lot at Main and Milwaukee could be rezoned to permit a single-family residence in the Historic Depot Commercial District. Town Attorney Jeff Slothower replied that the town is updating its Comprehensive Plan and that rezoning questions will be reviewed and adopted later this fall.
Separately, Ethan McCrillis called to request an out-of-town water hookup at 741 Westside Road; the council asked Clerk Luanne to gather more information because that address already has one hookup. Michelle Dickenson also followed up on her interest in building a single-family residence in the Downtown Business District and asked about progress on the Comprehensive Plan update.
