Town Attorney Jeff Slothower told the council he is investigating the 6% utility tax Cle Elum enacted through Ordinance No. 1726 and would like to review the original agreement underlying that action. He asked Clerk Luanne to obtain the document so he can evaluate legal implications for South Cle Elum.
Jeff also reported he has spoken with Mark Garka about Garka's upcoming retirement and the need to identify a replacement, and said the town will continue coordinating with the county on code enforcement and building-permit matters under a proposed MOU.
