Board approves School Library Advisory Council's proposed titles after 30‑day review

Miss Jacobs presented the School Library Advisory Council's process under EFB local, explaining the council reconvened to review proposed library titles, made the list publicly available for a 30‑day community feedback period, and found no parental recommendations requiring changes. Annette Mummy, chair of the council, told the board the list "represents thoughtful review, collaboration, and careful consideration" and formally recommended board approval.

A fifth‑grade student, Azuriel Shaw, addressed the board in support of school libraries, saying, "I came here today to tell you how important our school library is to us." Board members asked clarifying questions about whether the list covered classroom libraries (Miss Jacobs said it covers campus libraries and that classroom libraries are listed in Destiny software for parent review), and then approved administration's recommendation by a 5–0 vote.
