Rich Batterberry, representing Oak Run residents, told the River Ridge Board that remediation work done at Seaside 1 and Seaside 2 was received "very favorable" and urged the district to consider similar measures around Lake 8 to address long-lasting pooled rainwater.
Batterberry said residents are worried water is reaching building foundations and noted that "One resident incurred significant costs trying to mitigate water coming up through the floor." District Engineer Charlie Krebs reviewed the Seaside scope of work and said because the area was never regraded, Lake 8 issues could likely be addressed using similar regrading and drainage improvements. Board Chair Bob Schultz said the matter "would be considered during the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget process."
