City to install three disc-golf baskets; committee hears volunteer turnout concerns

Paul reported July was "a little slow" for volunteer turnout and that he had canceled one July workday; volunteers still completed rock placement and trail-turn work. He confirmed upcoming evening workdays on Aug. 3 and Aug. 17 and said the group is exploring a possible weekend workday later in the season.
Corey Satella, who called in during public comment on behalf of Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates, said the group is "excited by the work going on in Manitou and happy to be part of it" and will coordinate volunteer opportunities with Paul. Staff and committee members discussed better publicizing work schedules and suggested weekly or biweekly newsletter notices when crews are active.
