"Our grant has to be spent by June 30, or we don't access those funds," she said, warning that roughly $200,000 in assets still must be obligated to avoid losing the award this fiscal year.
Board members asked clarifying questions about invoicing and asset ownership; the presenter said she had placed some orders under her name to meet the deadline and described the invoicing flow: the district invoices the presenter organization, which pays the district and waits for federal reimbursement. The board did not take a separate vote on the grant presentation but was urged to act quickly to obligate remaining funds while litigation continues.
