Board reorganizes leadership, appoints county rep and adopts administrative resolutions

At its organizational meeting the Berryessa Union School District Board of Trustees completed officer elections and several administrative actions.
Trustees nominated and approved elections for board president, vice president and clerk and designated the superintendent as board secretary and the regular meeting location and time. Motions were moved and seconded and carried by voice vote. The newly elected board president thanked former president Thelma and emphasized equity and fiscal solvency as priorities.
The board selected a member to serve as the district’s representative to the Santa Clara County Committee on School District Organization for 2026 and approved resolutions to add signatures for warrants, naming newly hired fiscal director Jimmy Tran to the authorized list, and to appoint district representatives to the South Bay Area Schools Insurance Authority board.
Trustees also approved a revised job description for the director of bond facilities and modernization and accepted the school site Single Plans for Student Achievement for all 10 schools for 2025–26. All motions related to these items carried with recorded 'aye' votes or unanimous voice votes.
