County amends landfill certificate figures after MPCA request

The board amended resolution 24-11-05A to revise Projected Tonnage and Land Disposal Capacities charts for the county landfill at the request of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA).
County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong reported the Solid Waste Administrator had requested amendments to resolution 24-11-05A Approving Cottonwood County Landfill Certificate of Need Request to update figures in the Projected Tonnage Chart and Land Disposal Capacities Chart. Commissioner Tom Appel moved and Commissioner Donna Gravley seconded a motion to amend the earlier resolution; the board approved the amendment by unanimous roll-call vote. The original and amended resolutions are on file in the County Coordinator’s office.
The minutes record that figures were revised at the MPCA's request; no new dollar amounts or tonnage figures are included in the March 18 minutes. County staff maintain the amended resolution and supporting documentation in county records for regulatory compliance with MPCA requirements.
