Nick Klisch, Public Works Director, and Kyle Pillatzki, Solid Waste Administrator, told the board that a retirement at the landfill means staff will take on additional responsibility and asked that Kayla Clark be promoted from Landfill Scale Operator to Solid Waste Technician.
“Motion by Anderson, second by Gravley, unanimous vote to promote Kayla Clark to Solid Waste Technician at a wage of $25.10/hour and be given a $60 cell phone allowance effective February 24, 2025,” the minutes record. The board approved the promotion with the stated wage and allowance and set the effective date.
After the promotion vote, Commissioner Tom Appel asked the Solid Waste Administrator to provide the board a one-page summary of vinyl chloride testing at the landfill, a request the minutes record as a follow-up action.
