The clerk summarized the ordinance's purpose and the council then voted to set a public hearing for Aug. 11, 2026.
The ordinance synopsis explained the notes would be secured and payable from gross revenues of the system and would be issued pending later issuance of revenue bonds upon commencement of construction. Council set the hearing date by voice vote and confirmed the hearing will be held on Aug. 11.
