Kim said the policy work group will review OSBA recommendations, update policies and identify missing administrative regulations. She described the work group as roughly 10 people including administrators and some parents and said the group will recommend updates to the board.
She noted the district can pursue a desk audit from OSBA to help with policy alignment but said: "It's about $12,000, but we won't have it in the budget for this year. We'd wanted to plan that for next year." Board members agreed a multi-hour initial meeting may be needed to work through policy updates and discussed timing and prior audits from 2017.
Kim said policy updates and potential audits are meant to create consistent administrative regulations and to support Division 22 compliance across the district.
