Public Works provided preliminary details for Coastal Cleanup Day: the event is scheduled for Sept. 23, 9–11 a.m., with volunteers asked to meet at the fountain on San Rafael Avenue at 8:45 a.m. Organizers (Adam Gavser and James Campbell) will coordinate cleanup teams; volunteers must sign waivers and wear sturdy footwear and gloves. After the event volunteers will place collected litter in piles for pickup; city crews will remove the piles the following Monday morning.
The committee noted the event will be listed in the Belvedere Breeze and encouraged participation. Staff said a fuller update will be on the agenda closer to the date.
