The chair summarized recent negotiations and told the committee the district had offered a 2 percent increase each year for the next two years and increased insurance contributions. "We offered a 2 percent increase the next 2 years each year, 2% each of those 2 years," the chair said, adding the district "doubled what we usually offered for the insurance, which is $60 a month, for each of those years."
Committee members asked whether the group would reconvene if negotiated terms require budget changes. Staff said a supplemental budget could be prepared before June 30 if changes are known in time; otherwise a supplemental budget would occur after July and the full board would take action.
