Canal Winchester staff asked council to advance a resolution that would authorize the annual Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival to use city streets and sidewalks. The motion to move RES-26-031 to full Council was made by Will Bennett, seconded by Alec McLaughlin, and carried unanimously (Yes 7).
Matt Peoples told council that, although Ribfest has not yet occurred, it is appropriate to discuss Labor Day planning now and that the resolution is the standard authorization to hold the festival on public rights-of-way. The resolution will return to a full Council meeting for final action.
