The A-C Central board voted to approve a Clean Impact deep-clean contract for approximately $17,000 to service the high school and district office. Chair S2 introduced the motion citing construction-related debris and tight timelines tied to flooring and HVAC projects; the motion was moved and seconded and later carried.
Board members also discussed an optional "bank of hours" arrangement for emergency custodial coverage and the trade-offs between a one-time deep clean and ongoing vendor coverage. Administrators assured the board that contract penalties and scheduling options could mitigate the risk of late completion; staff will coordinate timing to minimize disruption to school start-up operations.
"A deep clean is a no brainer," one administrator said while board members asked about janitor workloads and whether both buildings would be covered during the contract period.
