Council hears FY26 Q2 grant submissions and $1.2M shortfall in requests
Summary
Rachel Toker reported 41 eligible applications with total requests of $3.649 million against $2.45 million available, and noted projects over $350,000 require formal presentations; the Uintah County Enduro Course exceeds that threshold and Mike Cook recused himself from scoring it.

OHV Recreation Grant Administrator Rachel Toker told council members that 41 eligible applications were submitted for the FY26 Q2 cycle, one application (Town of Dutch John) was withdrawn, and three were deemed ineligible in internal review. She reported that "Total grant requests sit at $3.649 million, with only $2.45 million currently available to award (approx. $1.2 million deficit)."
Toker explained that projects requesting more than $350,000 require formal 10-minute presentations with five minutes for questions and answers. The Uintah County Enduro Course project meets that threshold; Mike Cook will present the project at the next meeting and has recused himself from evaluating or scoring that application.
