The Off-Highway Vehicle Advisory Council approved a $350,000 grant to the Public Lands Access Protection organization to support legal representation of state interests in federal land management matters.
Redge Johnson, who presented the PLPCO request, described the funding as intended to help the state fight road closures and defend RS2477 rights-of-way, highlighting tools such as "Access Map 360" and an online comment generator for Travel Management Plans. Clif Cows and other public commenters also spoke in favor of the award, stressing the legal importance of preserving trail access.
Chair Jason Blankenagel declared a conflict of interest and did not vote on the motion. The grant passed via roll call.
