Residents urge caution over health complaints, blight and road maintenance during public comment

Alan Mays, who identified himself and gave a local address, thanked commissioners for advocacy with the Colorado Department of Transportation and questioned whether recent health-department complaints have been used appropriately. Pointing to three recent property complaints, Mays said, "if you're gonna do that, better do it with good intention, not just saying I don't like the looks of that property." He also noted a damaged stop sign at County Road 21 and asked the county to check the site.
Glenn Brace, another resident, asked the county to spray weeds at a racetrack property he rents, saying the growth is creating a maintenance problem. Chair said the request would be "looked into and taken care of."
