The Martinsville Board of Works and Safety approved the July 13 meeting minutes with four votes in favor and one abstention. A member who said they were absent from the July 13 meeting abstained from the minutes vote.
The board reviewed and accepted the presented claims and recorded six adjustments the chair read aloud, including 609 South Grama Street for $136.25; 489 North Jefferson Street for $83.32; 160 Byron Boulevard for $183.53; 115 Cleveland Drive for $322.04; 2110 Mahaliesville Road (Item No. 410937) for $0.96; and 260 South Lincoln for $1,486.31. "609 South Grama Street, a $136.25," the chair read when listing adjustments.
Board members noted history on Lincoln Street: an April main-water-line repair of $5,666 and a recent interior-wall split with a quoted repair of $2,900, and agreed to keep an eye on repeat claims. A motion to accept the claims (including listed adjustments) was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
