Council ratifies ordinance, accepts resignations and nominates appraisal-district candidates
Summary
Council ratified a previously passed ordinance, accepted resignations from a P&Z member and the park board, and unanimously nominated William Stevens and Monty Walker to the Grayson County Appraisal District.
At the Nov. 6 meeting the Gunter City Council ratified an earlier ordinance (recorded as ordinance 2025-10-16-03) concerning a speed-zone provision and TxDOT signage, accepting the prior wording as passed on Oct. 16. Council members later accepted letters of resignation from Jerry (vacating a P&Z seat upon joining council) and Holly Moore from the park board.
Council also moved and unanimously approved nominations for the Grayson County Appraisal District board, nominating William Stevens and Monty Walker and allocating six votes to each as recorded in the motion. The chair noted they would monitor how the county election unfolds.
