Finance Director Chris reported preliminary fourth‑quarter results for fiscal 2026 through June 30: general fund revenues are expected to meet the $11,000,000 budget; property tax receipts totaled about $3,500,000; transit room taxes and franchise fees are trending close to budget; and parking meter revenue is running ahead of expectations. "The general fund is currently projected to operate with an operating shortfall of approximately $442,000," Chris said, adding projected ending fund balance of about $5,600,000.
Councilors probed ambulance and GEMT reimbursements after staff noted Federal program interruptions had delayed distributions. Staff said ambulance revenues exceeded budget by nearly 19% to about $1.2 million for the year but cautioned that GEMT (ground emergency medical transportation) receipts had been disrupted and that the city would follow up with more detailed estimates and a discussion with the fire chief.
