Director (speaker 4) presented a preliminary year-end financial snapshot, dated July 7, that the board was asked to view as unaudited. "As of June 30, our total general fund revenues were projected at 18,700,000," the director said. Expenditures were projected at $19.3 million and were lower than budget by roughly $2.57 million in areas such as payroll and contracted services. The director said the figures will change as the audit reconciliation proceeds.
The director said rolling in certain items (bonds, health insurance family cap assumptions) produces an estimated ending fund balance of $4,540,219, which staff said positions the district to handle known near-term shortfalls. The audit work is ongoing and staff cautioned that the unaudited lines will be updated once year-end journal entries and reconciliations are complete.
