Petitioner Miranda Jones said the event will be a free, vendor-focused festival offering mental-health resources, yoga, music and raffles; she told the council that vendor applications have already grown to about 22 and organizers expect high turnout. "So it's the same event, but this time, we're gonna do it bigger and better," Jones said. The council authorized the closure with emergency vehicle access and directed staff to mail the permit to the organizer.
Council members praised last year’s event and noted community turnout; the motion to approve the permit passed with all members voting yes. The clerk confirmed the city will mail the permit to Miranda Jones and provide any required documentation such as the raffle license.
