Dr. Zaher provided an update on the district's Safe Schools / Secure Futures referendum work, reporting ongoing design and development meetings with FGM and Nicholas & Associates, hearings before municipal zoning boards, and community outreach meetings.
She said the district is far along on construction plans but will wait for the referendum outcome before commencing construction-related work. No new board action was taken at the Nov. 19 meeting; the update was informational.
Administration will continue community engagement and zoning processes as required and said referendum timing will determine next steps for contracting and construction schedules.
