Village awards $117,611.59 Orchard Drive paving contract to Schroeder Asphalt

The Village of McCullom Lake board voted to award the Orchard Drive paving contract to Schroeder Asphalt Services Inc. for $117,611.59 on July 22, 2025. Trustee Vick said, “Schroeder Asphalt Services, Inc. came in as low bidder at $117,611.59. HR Green is recommending that we award the bid to them,” and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
President Terry Counley told trustees the bid came in under budget and noted the contract sets a completion date of September 30, 2025. HR Green’s representative Jeffrey Strzalka recommended the award in the board packet; the board directed staff to work with the vendor to set a preconstruction date and next steps for notice to affected residents. The board’s action was a formal contract award; the motion was moved by Trustee Vick and seconded by Trustee Fritz.
