"Overall, the Slack recommended approval for this application, is that there was no, no outstanding, concerns with changing this from act 40 to part 5," stated the staff presenter. The parcel (RP 05 N 38 E 044350) abuts BLM land on multiple sides, and staff noted that parcels to the north and east already carry residential designations.
Applicant Gordon Boyle described the site as undeveloped sagebrush and said AD Enterprises submitted the application to align the zoning with nearby parcels. Commissioners pressed staff on comprehensive‑plan consistency but concluded the proposal fits the pattern on the ground and does not create new access or service needs. The commission moved and seconded a recommendation for approval to the County Board of Commissioners with the five staff recommendations attached. The commission recorded the recommendation and closed the item pending the county board’s decision.
