Utah County GOP backs Proposition 11 and Prop. 14 in endorsing votes

The Central Committee held endorsing votes and recorded Support 52–2–7 on Proposition 11 and Support 31–2–2 on Proposition 14; both measures received majority backing in the county party endorsement ballots.
The Central Committee voted to hold endorsing votes on two proposed school-district measures. Delegates supported Proposition 11, a proposal to create a new school district covering Alpine, Lehi, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Highland and Draper, by a recorded tally of Support 52, Oppose 2, No Position 7. Delegates also supported Proposition 14, a proposal for a new district covering Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain and Fairfield, with a tally of Support 31, Oppose 2, No Position 2.
The votes were held after Charles Wood moved to place the measures on the agenda for endorsement ballots. The party's endorsement process (as defined in the newly adopted B2024-05) requires ballots to offer only "Support," "Oppose" or "No Position" and a 60% threshold for an official party position; local caucus and subdivision rules determine how balloting is conducted when measures appear in multiple political subdivisions.
