Kyle Zimmerman, representing the Shenzhen City Council, asked the commissioners to transfer a 0.4-acre county-owned lot at the north end of the Shenzhen city limits to the city. He said the city would likely pay for a survey and planned to approve that at a council meeting later the same day.
County counsel Bill Jeter recommended preparing a deed that reserves a reversionary interest so the title would revert to Ellis County if the property ceased to be used for municipal purposes. The commission asked staff to obtain a legal description and survey and to return a deed for formal consideration at a future meeting.
