As trustees considered monthly warrants and financial reports, a board member asked about yellow-highlighted "due process" items in the packet. District staff said the highlighted items show cumulative due-process costs that have totaled "almost $750,000" since a 2019 case and emphasized the ongoing fiscal impact on district resources.
"It's been around, almost 750,000 since the due process started back in this 1 case in 2019," staff said while explaining the highlighted accounting. The board voted to approve the warrants after the exchange and roll call.
