District staff reported a modest enrollment increase since early August: a snapshot of about 755 students at the beginning of the month rose to a current count of 773. Staff said sites continue to enroll one or two students a day, and the district ended the prior school year at 805.
"When we had looked at the beginning of August, we had around 755. And, when I ran the report, it was up to 7 73," staff said. The superintendent also reported 43 interdistrict transfers into the district (28 from Yosemite Unified, seven from Maricosa County, three from Chewaneky and five from Raymond Knowles) and six transfers out; staff described those numbers as normal for the start of the school year.
