Miss Turner, the city manager, told council members the committee will try to align federal and state asks and to coordinate a federal site visit by members of the congressional delegation during the week of Sept. 7 so staff can better match project requests to likely grant and congressional-directed-spending opportunities. "We will take them to see some of these big projects and priorities for Roanoke and make sure that they're fully bought in and read in on what we're doing," she said. The committee asked staff to return with any refinements and with a final draft for the Sept. 8 meeting.
