Commissioners adopt FY25–26 budget amendment adding $225,697 to capital facilities tax fund

County Budget Officer Edith Thompson presented budget amendment number 2 and explained requested transfers and changes to the adopted fiscal year 2026 budget. "Revenues are for the capital facilities tax fund to be increased in the amount of $225,697," Thompson said, noting that the line item had been missed in the originally submitted budget. She also explained an increase of $54,459.10 for information-technology licensing, equipment and maintenance tied to prior board approvals.
The board opened the required public hearing, heard no public comment, and then voted to adopt the resolution amending the FY25–26 budget. Thompson apologized for an earlier distribution error of the budget book and identified the pages showing the missing line item. The board recorded the motion and approved the amendment by voice vote.
