Board restores museum funding request, approves inspector vacation and sets budget hearing date

Paul McCarty said the Museum contribution "was decreased at some point from $10,000.00 to $8,500.00 and I am requesting that it be increased to $10,000.00 especially with all of the Fort Edward Celebrations coming up." He also requested a historian line of $2,150.
Supervisor Fisher relayed a personnel request from Building Inspector Matt French for a third week of paid vacation; the board agreed. Town Clerk Aimee Ives announced the Preliminary Budget Public Hearing will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 6:55 p.m., noting guidance of "-No increase in the tax rate -Not exceeding the tax cap." Councilman Middleton moved and Councilwoman Mullen seconded to adjourn the workshop at 11:20 a.m.; the minutes record "ALL AYES."
