Fort Edward board says court takeover will raise costs; solar revenue will help offset

Fisher said the town expects revenue from local solar projects — naming CS Energy, Boralex and Champlain Hudson Power Express — and stated that the landfill solar project currently provides "$69,200.00/yr." Town officials discussed using that income to help offset costs tied to the court functions the town will assume. Brian Brockway noted competing uses, saying, "The solar money was ear marked for highway equipment," underscoring internal decisions about how to allocate that revenue.
