District shifts hazardous-waste hauling to Caldwell Environmental

The district has begun using Caldwell Environmental to haul hazardous waste after a period using Heritage (now Arcwood), Director Joel told the board. He said Arcwood's packing requirements increased the district's costs and that the first shipment handled by Caldwell went smoothly.
"The shipment went smoothly and, yeah, we we also got our 1st invoice from them," Joel reported, noting that Caldwell appears to be a stable and growing company and the district looks forward to working with them in the future. No vendor representatives were present to respond during the meeting.
