Council leaves proposed nuisance-ordinance changes on hold after split testimony

The mayor said borough administration and the police chief had met the resident and the property owner, and the owner said they would change equipment placement and be more sensitive to neighbors. One council member recommended giving the parties 30 days to report back. "Just get back to him and say, here's what this conversation we just had here... and if we have to move forward, we will," one council member said.
Council did not take further action and left the item "on hold" pending follow-up; members said they may revisit hiring an audiologist or similar expert only if voluntary changes do not resolve the issue.
