Forest Service and district plan campground upgrades and rec-fee sites; fees proposed $5'$30.40

Acting district ranger Enrique Sanchez told the board the Forest Service plans to develop Blackjack Campground with vehicle pads, additional bathroom facilities and designated trailer spaces; he said the site may close for construction "December to January" while contracts are finalized. He also said Granville Campground water-system repairs are planned for 2027 or possibly 2028 and that the agency is working through NEPA for larger projects.
Sanchez outlined proposed recreation fee sites (Coal Creek, Blackjack, Granville, and Lower 1 Miller) with fees "ranging from $5 to $30.40 dollars." He said a public comment period is open and that paper notices are posted at the district office; supervisors asked procedural questions about fee collection and enforcement, and the Forest Service said simple envelope-drop stations would be used at some sites.
