The Sumner City Council adopted the consent agenda at its Aug. 3 meeting, approving nine items read by the clerk. The consent package included Resolution 1756 (authorization to circulate a 166th Avenue East annexation petition), retroactive ratification of the 24th Street emergency storm repair construction contract, design-contract amendments for Briar Avenue Veil and Salmon Creek Culvert projects, Change Order No. 5 for the White River Restoration Project, a change-order ratification for the Harrison and State Sewer Project, appointment of a council member to the Public Safety Committee, and approval of checks and electronic payments totaling $3,767,566.42.
The mayor asked for and received a motion to adopt the consent agenda; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Council members did not remove any individual consent items for separate discussion. Several council members later referenced elements of the consent agenda during committee reports, including ongoing work on the White River Restoration Project and related repair and funding coordination with FEMA.
