During a single business block the Baldwin County Public Schools Board approved a package of personnel and policy items provided to trustees under separate cover. Items approved by motion and voice vote included leaves of absence, retirements and resignations, assistant-principal employment contracts, intent to transfer personnel, rescission of employment actions, employment of personnel (hires/promotions) and approval of extra work for extended periods.
Separately, the board adopted career-technical education policies and procedures as presented and approved dissemination of a revised wellness policy to local schools and organizations for input. The board also approved new high-school dual-enrollment courses and associated fees; agenda exhibits contained the detailed lists and fee schedules referenced during vote.
