Commission approves reappointments, procurement and LEC contract; fireworks allowed July 2–4

LEC contract: The commission approved the AIA design‑build contract with PWC and Tesserae for renovation of the Law Enforcement Center basement and main floor; staff said plans should be completed by mid–late July and then go to state review.
Fireworks: The commission moved to allow fireworks in unincorporated Ellis County on July 2–4 between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.; staff noted historically low incident counts and said no additional staffing would be required beyond normal awareness and mutual aid arrangements.
