Price said she wanted to ensure security practices balance safety with family engagement and asked whether the contract includes explicit quality assurances and accommodations. She asked, "Is there a district person on-site that can provide support and address some of those gray areas?"
District staff (identified in the meeting as Justin Millner) said the district has communicated expectations to the contractor and that site administrators are the primary district contacts for gate staff. "So, we encourage our administrators to be close to that area so that they can interact in situations like that," Millner said, describing an approach where administrators help resolve special circumstances, such as medical needs or permitted items. Staff also said they meet with the contractor regularly and follow up on incidents raised by patrons.
