Staff proposed a 2025–26 meeting schedule that keeps regular sessions on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month with a few date exceptions; "We tried to maintain the 1st and 3rd Monday, of each month," Matthews said in presenting the draft. A motion to approve the schedule passed by voice vote.
With the external trainer absent, Johnson and Byrd told the board they will create a BoardDocs training video and provide instruction at a future meeting. "We can make that happen," Johnson said regarding distribution of training materials. Later a board member moved the board into closed session under cited statutory provisions to discuss confidential personnel matters and consult with counsel; the board entered closed session and later returned to open session and adjourned.
