District staff reports early enrollment uptick; teachers start Aug. 10, students Aug. 12

District staff provided a preliminary enrollment update at the Aug. 3 board meeting, saying enrollment appears "up a little bit" compared with last year but that final counts will settle after the first one to two weeks of school. "The positive sign when I looked at kinda where we were last year compared to now, we are up a little bit," the staff member said.
Staff also confirmed teacher opening day will be Aug. 10 with an 8:30 a.m. start to the staff program and the first day for students is Aug. 12. The staff member said administrators will monitor enrollment and report updated numbers after the initial attendance period.
