Wabash board approves multiple teacher and paraprofessional hires for 2026–27

At the Aug. 3 meeting the Wabash City Schools board approved several hires across classrooms and support staff. Approved hires included Andrea Pretorius as a high-ability and Title I teacher with a starting salary of $56,000, Tisha Lynn as a special education teacher at a starting salary of $44,200, Jocelyn Guerra as a kindergarten teacher at $42,300, and Hannah Parson as a WMHS math teacher at $42,000.
The board also approved paraprofessional hires: Delaney Campbell (preschool paraprofessional, 28 hours/week at $12/hour), Mary Jones (special education paraprofessional, 29.75 hours/week at $11/hour) and Angela Case (kindergarten paraprofessional, 29.75 hours/week at $11/hour). Chair and board members welcomed the new hires when motions passed by voice votes.
