Mister Price read a resignation letter from Robert Roberts and recommended Louella Kiker to take the remainder of the term; the council moved and approved the appointment by voice vote. County attorney Bryant presented unapproved minutes and said the Alligator Rural Fire District board recommended Kirby Wayne; council approved that appointment after acknowledging long service by outgoing member George McCoy.
Finance director Heather Phelps asked council to declare a clear-touch interactive panel surplus so it can be removed from inventory; council approved the surplus declaration by voice vote. The second reading for the Highway 9 corner-lot sale to Chesterfield County Rural Water also passed by voice vote.
Council requested staff send thank-you notes to departing long-serving members and to notify appointees of their terms and responsibilities.
