Deputy town staff (Tracy, S21) said the town will solicit applications and provide Sunshine Law training for committee members; committees will be public and will report back to council. Councilors emphasized getting local domain experts involved and suggested partnering with regional universities or facilitators if needed.
The motion passed unanimously; staff will open applications and return committee rosters to the council in September.
