Board approves $23,362 amendment to finish design of Nashua Heritage Rail Trail East

The board approved amendment number 4 to the engineering services contract with CMA Engineers (Portsmouth, NH) for design and management of the Nashua Heritage Rail Trail East project in an amount not to exceed $23,362.
City Engineer Dan Hudson described the project as the extension of the Heritage Rail Trail east of Main Street to Denton Street near the Henry Hanger building and said the amendment will allow CMA to finalize the design and prepare bid documents while staff secures temporary and permanent right-of-way agreements.
Commissioners asked for clarifications on the trail end point and local landmarks; Hudson pointed to the vicinity of Bob’s Pizza and the railroad tracks as reference points. The motion passed by voice vote.
