City hires Stantec for pavement management evaluation; contract not to exceed $43,700

The Board approved a professional-services contract with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. of Burlington, Massachusetts for pavement management services not to exceed $43,700.
City Engineer Dan Hudson told the board that Stantec has partnered with the city since 2016 on pavement evaluations and that this year’s scope will assess roughly half of the roadway network to develop pavement condition index (PCI) ratings. Hudson said tracking the PCI over time helps the city understand program performance and prioritize streets for future paving.
The motion passed by voice vote. Hudson said staff would answer follow-up questions about specific streets and the planned schedule if requested.
