CSEA leaders tell board members staff rejected contract and call for genuine partnership

Grimes said members asked trustees to ‘‘fight for what we are worth.’’
CSEA leader Mr. Greenidge presented a spectrum‑of‑engagement framework and argued the district repeatedly operates on the left side of that spectrum — notification rather than partnership — citing examples including PLC lead compensation, department chair duties being altered without negotiation, and workplace‑reporting protocols rolled out as mandates. ‘‘Don’t just apologize. Work with us so we’re at the table when the plans are in design,’’ Greenidge said, urging trustees to include staff in decision making.
